Welfare Checks

Welfare checks on people, homes and vehicles

When you can't be there yourself, a licensed investigator goes and looks for you. We find out what is really going on and report back with photos and a clear written update.

When to Call

When you need eyes on someone or something

Families call us when a parent, an adult child or a relative has stopped answering the phone. Owners who live out of state call us when a house in Michigan is sitting empty and nobody nearby can check on it. Attorneys, lenders and property managers call us to confirm a vehicle or a property is where it's supposed to be and in the condition they were told.

A police welfare check has its place, but officers often knock, get no answer and leave, and they usually can't tell you much afterward. A private welfare check is different. We take the time to look, talk to the right people, document what we see, and tell you exactly what we found.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first. We work within the law: we don't enter private property without permission, and when the person we check on is an adult who doesn't want contact, we let you know they are safe but we don't share where they are living without their consent.

What We Check

Three kinds of welfare checks

Check 01

People

We visit a loved one at home, at a care facility or at their last known address, confirm they are safe, see how they are living, and pass along your message if you want us to. If nobody knows where they are now, we locate them first.

Check 02

Homes & Property

Vacant houses, rentals, and homes of family members who are away or in the hospital. We look for signs of break ins, damage, squatters, mail piling up, or anyone living there who shouldn't be.

Check 03

Vehicles

We confirm where a vehicle is parked, that it matches the plate and description you gave us, and what condition it's in. Helpful for families, lenders, and divorce or estate matters.

What you receive: a phone update as soon as the visit is done, dated photos, and a written report you can keep or hand to your attorney. We can do a single visit or regular scheduled checks.
